Welcome to the VistaForums! crankbait09

Trojan or virus you mean since these are two different things. Trojans are slipped onto your system even going unnoticed at times for either downloading other bugs or collecting personal data. Viruses on the other hand disrupt functionality even locking you out of the desktop depending on type.

For clearing out all present restore points all you need to do even when starting up normally is simply turn off the system restore feature usually followed by a full restart. All present points are immediately wiped off of system and no longer available. Once the system is free of any bugs you then turn it back on to start seeing new ones created without risk of any reinfection by virus or other malwares.

In the meantime if you presently lack any good protection which appears to be the case I can point you to one software recently found quite a bit more effective which includes a firewall as well as malware removal. VIPRE Antivirus - The Best Antivirus Protection - Sunbelt Software

You can download the 30day trial of the VIPRE Premium which includes the firewall found effective at blocking the types of sites that place malwares by blocking view of sites entirely! VIPRE Antivirus Software Trial - Download a Free Trial of VIPRE Here

Unlike older softwares like Norton this one is extremely light on system resources. The activation key is sent to you directly for the 30day when you provide a working email address. Once that is entered it will perform a complete and deep scan of the entire system for anything.

Hello,

To add to that, can I strongly recommend that you do not delete your System Restore points until you have got the malware off your system? That way, if you make a mistake, you can go back to an (albeit infected) computer, rather than having nothing to restore to, and getting stuck. Malware cannot escape a System Restore point, unless you restore to it, so keep these restore points until all the malware has completely gone.

Also, would you like any help? We can ask for more advanced logs (though it won't be me who helps you) and possibly get the malware off faster and better than just with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. If Malwarebytes does not manage to remove everything in a few full scans, I would strongly recommend coming here (in this same thread), and we will help you. :)
