    redirect to different sites

After a google search and resultant list of sites, I try to connect to a specific listed site, but am redirected to a differnt site. Apparently, there is some malware infecting my computer and I'm looking for a free removal tool or other suggestion.
    Thanks

    Re: redirect to differnt sites

I would Install Microsoft Security essentials and Malwarebytes for they in peoples opinion are the Best Combination of free software

See http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ For Microsoft Security Essentials

And see Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: Malwarebytes For Malwarebytes

    Hope This Helps,
    Josh

    Re: redirect to different sites

I had Google redirect virus and could not get rid of it whatever removal tool I used, including Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool, some needing far more computer expertise like delving deep into its innards than I possess, until I read this link on how to remove malicious add-on's since that's what it was:-

How to Remove Malicious Add-Ons to Internet Explorer | eHow.com

I looked in the Add-On's list and found things that did not look as though they came from reputable sources and disabled them and now Google Search works as normal and much faster. The advantage is you can disable one item at a time to see if that cures it and enable it again if it does not cure the problem but upsets something else.
