Warning about AV, Especially MSE

I run a full scan of MSE once a week, and practice very safe surfing practices. This morning I made my scan and found a trojan. It seems that the definition of the Virus was just installed and the trojan got on to my computer before the new definition.
That is not my warning, however. My warning is that I made the scan because I was notified by Win Patrol that MSE was turned off. I suggest that everyone, install WinPatrol. Its free and it saved my a.. this time. It seems that some of these Virus, turn off protection as a way to survive.

Thanks for the tip Rich :) I have Malwarebytes' Pro which also runs in real-time so hopefully between the two of them I should be alright. But I don't like to take unnecessary risks, so I'm going to install WinPatrol now
