Format my computer due to viruses

    Hi,

I cannot install windows 7. During the installation, a compatibility report goes on my desktop and it says it cannot open the web page, that I have to retype the address. After, the installation stops...

I have vista, and dowloaded a windows comptability advisor, but doesn't work either. Did anybody have that problem?

    Judy

The best way is to use your Vista install DVD.
If you do a clean install, you will have the opportunity to format

    Step 12
    Clean Install From Upgrade Vista
or with a full DVD step 11
Clean Install with a Full Version of Vista

How are you going to reinstall?
If you plan on using the restoration partition, that will format for you.

If this is a manufactured system the manufacturer might have built in the installation files into the hard drive. Look in your computer's documentation on how to access it.

If the partiton no longer works, you must call the computer comapnay and get an install DVD for cost $25.00. If they are no longer available, you may borrow one, but you would need the key number that is located on the computer.
    or
I would buy an upgrade version of Seven, if your computer can handle it.
