Hello Calmat, again, hehehehe, Use run window, type msconfig, go to start up tab. boom, there you go. Personally, i use Tools, start up , in Ccleaner .
An alternative method, and the one that I use, is to download Win Patrol. In addition to managing statup items, it is a psuedo malware protection. It will warn of any unatuthorized changes to your system and gives a lot of other information
thanks everyone for all your help

I use WinPatrol also, neat program, all of a sudden , you hear a woof.. hehehehe.. then it tells you what it found trying to run.
hello yarddog
I will try that programme

hello everyone
i have loaded the Win Patrol programme but i cannot see any of my start up programmes
calmat

The Win Patrol is for security of programs loading without your knowledge, maybe you misunderstood, for your start up programs that load auto when you boot up, you need to see the msconfig program and look at startup tab.

If you open Win Patrol up and press options. it shows you the start up programs. I just installed this program the other day, and i did not know that was there. It actually shows you all kinds of stuff. Wow,i am impressed .
understand now
