I just resolved an issue with my computer and now it's back up and running. My Windows Security Center is turned off and I'm thinking it should be on. I have Webroot security installed but shouldn't the Security Center always be turned on?

Hello, your Window Security Center in the Control Panel should open up and show the status of your security. What happens when you open that program up ?
Yes the Security Center opens fine, I was just confused as to why some of the services were turned off.

I have noticed you have 2 Threads. Can you tell me more details as to what is not turned on ?
My firewall was off, so I turned it back on and my Malware protection is turned off because I have Webroot installed as my anti-virus protection but I recently had to turn off the service WRSVC (webroot) under System Configuration because it was causing a black out on my screen. Rich told me to uninstall Webroot and download Microsoft Security Essentials. Did I miss anything?
I'm sorry, my Virus protection is turned off because it falls under Webroot. My Malware is turned on.

Yep, if you do, Download MSE , then use the Webroot uninstaller, when it has removed it, then Install the MSE.. See this for most used uninstallers. : Security Software | SingularLabs
