Solved Window vista group policy problem

Hi im new to window VISTA forums ive got a problem with my pc i created a user account and applied group policy restrictions to it i accidently deleted my recycle bin on my desktop and the only way to get it back is to right click on desktop and select personalize but when i click it comes up with a message that it is restricted by admin can someone please help to find which policy allows me to go into personalize settings so i can get my recycle bin back.:(

hi thanks for the reply.. i dont want to make another account i just want to no which policy do i have to change in group policy for it to allow me to get into the personalize setting

i added restriction to this user account with group policy but i dont no which policy inside group policy will allow me to go in (personalize settings)

i think the only way is to do this is delete the group policy set up for user and apply policies agian but still i wont no which policy is not allowing me to go into desktop settings/personalize...?

Run group policy editor like you before (windows key & R. Type in gpedit.msc) and on the left hand side follow this path: User configuration --> Administrative Template --> Desktop. In the main section double click on Remove Recycle Bin From Desktop. Set to not configured or disabled. If that doesn't do it look under User configuration --> Administrative Template --> Desktop --> Desktop and change any of those settings that you have changed to not configured.

You really shouldn't mess with group policy editor unless you know what you are doing. Keep in mind that any setting changed affects all users.

thanks guys fr ya help i finally found out what was not allowing the right click personalize option :D i had control panel in group policy enabled.. to find out it was that i had to delete my user account :( and start from scratch with group policy
