Working on my security + course and I'm now worried about vulnerabilities on my home computer.

I have Malwarebytes and AVG paid running. And I run Ad-Aware regularly.

Is there a program I can download to check my ports, software that needs updating ?

I use, and glad that I do, Secunia PSI. It will tell you if any software needs security updates.

You then want to download WinPatrol If any nasties try to make an unauthorized change you are notified.
These are all free.
I have also found that eset on line (a browser add on) is excellent at finding stuff that the others miss. Nothing that you have, or I have suggested, will cause cofnlicts if installed on the same computer.
