Just an update, I looked into this and no one is quite sure as of yet what it really is... but it's being marked as a safe process. My guess is it's probably a more enhanced executable auto update feature.

Yes, others are reporting the same new process. No bad news from it, it just looks they upgraded their updating process. For better or worse it happened to add a process to its users during startup. McAfee does the same, in fact McAfee carries a record 5 processes (at very minimum) - LOL.

In my opinion, this process to update an antivirus is much better because there is no need to have an internet connection at the system to update the antivirus. You can simply download the update executable file and install anywhere.
