I was just looking through Gumtree.com (local classifieds) for a friend who wanted to buy a car, and then a virus pop-up just came out of no where without me having to click anything.

I knew it was a virus right away, but wanted to see how far the attackers went in terms of making it seem realistic. I clicked the fake window to drag it out of the way so I could see the fake scan going on behind it, and it moved a little bit and downloaded the virus automatically. Luckily, Chrome is a little smarter then the hackers. :party:

Chrome = +1

I only use Google chrome for web browsing and even for downloading purpose. It is fast and user friendly as well. As you have mentioned secure also.

Haha, I love Chrome. That is awesome, it didn't stop my ZeroAccess issue.. but I'm happy to know that it catches those types of malicious activity. It's also a good thing that the hackers are still using the Windows XP SP2/SP3 themed interface. Hopefully more users will find those messages suspicious.

I've found Avast working very well with Chrome. If I happen to go to malicious site by accident, I'm warned very quickly and the page is suspended so I can close it without harm.

What I find REALLY annoying is when sites employ a multiple pop-up barrage. You close one window and it opens another. The trick is to be REALLY fast on "Alt+F4". Also, it's a good idea to flush your cache after stumbling across a site that didn't behave nicely for you. You never know what was deposited locally that might get executed sometime later.

This is how we can say that Google chrome is secure as well as user friendly web browser.
