    Disable Java for Security

    Anyone post about this?

    Security Warning: Disable Java Now

"....these days Java is a favorite attack vector for hackers. The Flashback Trojan breached Macintosh computers via a Java vulnerability, for example. Just recently researchers at FireEye reported a new zero-day vulnerability in Java that's serious enough we should all just disable Java, pending a fix."

    Re: Disable Java for Security

This is just a threat for the computer users to convince them to disable java on your system and then they would be able to attack on their system for whatever their purpose is.

    Re: Disable Java for Security

Are you saying that hackers want users to disable their Java so they can attack a particular way? The many articles on this say that hackers have found an exploit in Java, thus it is recommended that you disable it.

How would disabling or uninstalling Java make a computer more vulnerable to an attack?

    No
It says, Java has flaws that Hackers can use. Disable until a fix comes out, sometime in October. Disabled makes it safer to surf the net.
    I just disabled mine.

Thanks Rich. I wondered why this forum didn't post something about this. Maybe there's too many threats to keep up with.
