added Inno Setup unpacker
speed optimization of certain operations (e.g. scanning of emails in the Internet Mail provider)
Standard Shield: fixed a memory leak (Windows NT/200/XP)
mail scanner: fix in IMAP handler (solves problems with Nortel CallPilot, for example)
Windows Vista: removed the conflict with Asus Data Security Manager

I just installed Vista x64 the other day and tried Avast for the first time. I like it, needs a custom install to cut down on the clutter, but a very solid AV product so far.

Hi Bob,

Yes, it is pretty solid. Have you played around with changing the skin yet? There are some pretty nice ones at the site. Right click on the tray icon, and click Start avast! Antivirus. When it is done with the memory check, click on Menu and click Select Skin.

I have to say this is an excellent and highly tweakable product. I was lamenting the bloating of CA's EZ-Anti-Virus, but this is a more than adequate replacement.

Yeah, I like the fact that you can turn off what you do not need.

Just updated. Thanx for letting us know. You would think Avast would let us know there was an update available. It updates its virus database everyday.
