| Vista Ultimate 64 | Can't save files to Program Files Sometimes I or my programs need to save files into the Program Files folder but Vista won't let me, it says I have to ask the Administrator for permission. But I AM the administrator! Is there anything I can do? |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Can't save files to Program Files Hi Phil, In Vista, you must first save anything to either your desktop or one of your personal user folders, then you can move it to inside the Program Files folder location. Is is part of Vista's security to prevent anything from getting at your system files easily. Shawn |

| Windows Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Can't save files to Program Files Brinks suggestion would work, but isn't useful for temporary saves to "Program Files" locations. You need to run you program as Administrator. (Right-click its icon then select Run as Administrator. You'll need to get past UAC also) I have to do this with Borland Developer Studio 2007 if I want to make changes to code templates, which are saved in the BSD folder under Program Files. |
