| vista ultimate x64 | Re: Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location OK, thanks. That worked fine. Another strange thing has happened. Documents folder moved fine to the new drive. After rebooting, another green Documents folder showed up back at the original location. So now I have two, but in different locations. Do you know what caused that and how I can fix it? I only really want the Documents folder in the location I moved it to. Thanks, David |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location David, This is normal. Even if you move (change) the location of a user folder, you will still have a folder for it in the Start Menu location pointing to the new location as it's target path. If you open the folder's properties page, does it have the new location displayed as the path under the Location tab? If so, then your good to go. |

| vista ultimate x64 | Re: Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location Thanks. I actually now have TWO Document folders in the Start Menu location. One has the new path I moved it to. But the second Documents folder appeared after rebooting with the original target path and without a Location tab in its properties. I'm not sure why that has happened and what I need to do to fix it. Any ideas? ...David |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location David, It sounds like you may not have clicked on YES in step 4F of Method One by mistake leaving you a copy of the Documents folder with the unmoved contents in it. You can copy the contents into the moved Documents folder, then delete the one without a location tab. |
