Hey, I tried again and I finally got in the built-in administrator and turned it on and I was able to delete the one that said .bak, never let me rename it. I was able to create me a new account. Should I keep the built in administrator for a while and not put myself as the administrator, just in case. Thanks for all your help!!! I really appreciate it!!!!  |

Your welcome LRaulerson, It's up to you, but it would not hurt to make sure everything is ok first if you decide to turn off the built-in Admnistrator account. It's just more of a security risk to run in the built-in Administrator account since everything running will have full access to the computer while in it with no UAC to ask for your permission first. Try step two in STEP ONE, then step 6 in OPTION ONE. Worse case, you can boot from the installation DVD and reinstall everything to fix it. Hope this helps, Shawn |
