Re: New Context Menu Item - Restore or Remove

Good tutorial. Thanks!

Quick question: is there some way to edit the items within the New menu. For example, when I right click and hover over New, I get options like Contact or Office Word Document, etc. How do I (a) remove something from the menu and (b) organize it so that my favorite/most useful things are at the top?

Thanks!

Re: New Context Menu Item - Restore or Remove

Hello Naxself,

This tutorial below can help show you how to remove items from the New context menu from the file extension it is for in the registry. However, there's not a way to organize it in any specific order that I'm aware of.

New Menu - Context and File

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: New Context Menu Item - Restore or Remove

Thanks, Brink. It helps a lot.

It's too bad I can't re-order them the way I want. It looks like they stay in the order of their file extension (i.e. doc before txt). Someone needs to make a program that allows me to be hyper organized to assuage my OCD, hehe.
