Re: Notification Area Balloon Tips - Enable or Disable

A big help, thanks. However... this directory location was incorrect for my machine: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"

I don't have the "Policies" part in there... is this a typo at your end or just a setting at mine? Either way I'm sorted so just letting you know for other users who might be in the same situation as me.

Thanks again!

Re: Notification Area Balloon Tips - Enable or Disable

Hi BlovvMe,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

Policies is usually there by default unless removed by something. Usually it is Explorer that folks do not have by default. Strange. I'm glad to hear that you got it sorted though. I added some instructions for Explorer that can also be used for Policies to help with this. Thank you for bringing this up.
