How to Add and Remove Vista Internet Explorer Restricted Sites
Information
This will show you how to add or remove website addresses in the Internet Explorer Restricted Sites list in Vista to prevent Internet Explorer from loading that website.
NOTE
Restricted sites is a Security zone level in Internet Explorer that is applied to sites that might potentially damage your computer or your information. Adding sites to the Restricted sites zone does not block them, but it prevents them from using scripting or any active content. The security level for Restricted sites is set to High and can't be changed.
Tip
In addition to the listed Restricted sites, you can also customize and change the Restricted sites security settings by clicking on the Custom level button.

Here's How:
1. Open the Control Panel (Classic View).
A) Click on the Internet Options icon.

B) Go to step 2.
OR

1. Open Internet Explorer.
A) Click on Tools and Internet Options.
2. Click on the Security tab and click on the Sites button. (See screenshot below)

Re: Internet Explorer- Add and Remove Restricted Sites

Why can't I copy a site from temporary files and paste it into restricted sites?

Re: Internet Explorer- Add and Remove Restricted Sites

Hello Roncor, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Not sure what you mean, but when you have the Restricted Sites window open, you will have to open a separate IE window to copy the address from instead. It would be best to copy the address first (ex: from IE address bar), then open the Restricted Sites window to paste it in, or just type the address in it.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
