    Hello Lloyd, and welcome to Vista Forums.

    Usually this will solve this problem with the Recycle Bin icon not refreshing properly. If it happens again, then repappying this should sort it again.

    Update. Next day use, the Desktop Recycle Bin Icon shows Full, but there is only 1 file in the Recycle Bin. However, the principal problem I believe lies in the automatic deleting of the contents of the Recycle Bin.

    I'd appreciate it if someone knows if there is another Thread that deals with how to control automatic deleting from the Bin? Here's a case where I have a disfunctional Bin, and I really would rather do it myself (when it needs doing).

    Lloydc,

    This can help show you how to not have files be deleted permanently automatically from the Recycle Bin.

    Recycle Bin delete immediately


    This one is for the confirmation before deleting to the Recycle Bin.
