Hi,

I already checked this out on MS Communities and I have them stumped. My spell check suddenly stopped working. The messages I'm getting are: (1) When I click on "abc"= "An error occurred while spelling was being checked." (2) When I go to "send" a message: "The spell check on htis document was halted"

I'm using Windows Mail and have Norton 360 version 2. I already checked with Norton and they uninstalled Nortons and I was getting the same messages during spellcheck. So the tech reinstalled it. I checked with Dell (my computer is Dell) and they also shared my computer and were unable to help me. I checked wih Verizon my ISP and they couldn't help me.

I installed WLM and my folders came over but there was nothing in them. I did a manual import and some folder came over ok and still nothing in others. I uninstalled WLM through the Control Panel using Programs & Features.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Gary has been helping me out a lot and he said that in the 22 months he's been doing this, this is the first time nothing has worked.

Please I need help. I need to use my WM spellcheck.

Hello Nadia,

You might give PROBLEM TWO a try with only using Option One for a backup below to reset Windows Mail to see if that can help.

Thanks for such a quick response. I read through what the info said in the links that you provided me. First of all, I an not computer literate at all. I can just do basic things--very basic. It seems so complicated and I am afraid to do it because I'll mess something up and then everything will be gone or I won't be able to find the things I backed up. I'm really afraid to try this.

I do have a cousin that's pretty computer literate but he lives 2 hrs from me and doesn't come in often and when he does, he can't stay very long. I will try to see if he could guide me through this the next time he comes in.

Hopefully, this will work and my WM will be working fine again. Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.
