Thank you Tim for the feedback. I will add this information to the tutorial. I'm sure that it will come in handy.

Re: User Account - Hide

Do you have to put the word "Account" after the user name or was the part of the name in your example?

Re: User Account - Hide

Hi The Guardians,

No, that was just an example user account name. You would only use your actual user name for that account.

Re: User Account - Hide

Hi Shawn,
Wouldn't I get essentially the same result by disabling the account? I have my computer set up to require name and password (no mickey mouse pics that way). I disable accounts through LUsrMgr.msc.

Re: User Account - Hide

Hi Karl,

I have not tried it yet, but yes I believe it should have the same result. LUsrMgr.msc is not available for the Vista Home Basic and Home Premium editions, but if it does, then it will make a good easier option for folks with the other Vista editions.

Thank you,
Shawn

Re: User Account - Hide

Hi Karl! I figured that disablin' the account turn the adminstrative properties and permitions off for network function, such sharing. And when I tested the registry mode, everything worked fine.
