How excited?  Exactly 6 months after the launch on October 22, 2009, we’ve sold well over 100 million licenses of Windows 7. mehh. im not too impressed with it. with vista sp1 and 2 there are virtually no major driver problems with it.

I don't believe that number. Licenses are sold for x number of users, particularly in government sales, but then x-2 or x-5 or even x-10 licenses actually end up being used. I get around to alot of area businesses in my own profession, and I don't see a whole heckuva lot of 7 rigs. Less than ten percent of the computers I've seen in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia run 7, and I see lots of computers, lots of networks, and lots of setups. Heck, all the colleges in my area are still pimpin' out XP.

meh, microsoft should get out their windows 98SE build and make it compatible with todays hardware. thatd be the best operating system then.

I can't comment on the numbers MS has reported on Seven. However based on the members and guests on Seven Forums I would say it is coming on strong. Fabe

Acutally . . . Windows 2000 has got to be the best, I miss it even today - it was the most stable OS I ever used. Everything ran perfectly and fast . . . if it weren't for newer software that I needed to use that required XP I would have never upgraded . . . but, I'm liking Vista a whole lot and see no reason to move to Win7 unless I buy a new PC.

I like valid reasons

I love my Vista SP2 it runs faster than previously installed Windows 7.

One more question How many people run Genuine Windows 7

I'm completely satisfied with Vista SP2. I was able to play around with 7 for a while. I do not see much if any advantage for me switching to 7.
