Google's Terms of Service changes boil down to privacy, security

The new Terms will go live on Monday, November 11th 2013.

Google has announced it will be modifying its Terms of Service soon. There are only a few changes, and while most are subtle, they do affect anyone with a Google account.

In a nutshell, the updates boil down to changes around privacy and security -- notably for mobile devices and social networking.

I use gmail but somewhere along the line I must have clicked a button that gives me a Google account which I do not want how can I delete my Google acc and keep gmail?

Aye, your Google account appears to be tied with everything going. Gmail and Drive are joint storage so you will automatically have them. Not sure about a Google+ Profile though.

Right, so in true mich fashion I will make up a load of old rubbish and enter that!

OK 2 days later
I went to my google account and elected to remove google+ and my youtube account and so far so good, I still have my gmail service but all other references have gone. one happy fella.
