SP1 & Restore Points

Hi all,
for what it's worth.

I noticed after I got done Installing SP1 that
it had deleted ALL my Restore Points. It had
created one new Point for its self and left no
others. So I had no Points to go to except
the one SP1 created. I'm glad I was watching!

So to all who read this, it would be a good idea
to create some Restore Points before you need
them and have NONE.

Thanks

Re: SP1 & Restore Points

I had all my restore points after I updated to SP1. I did not use Windows Update though.

Re: SP1 & Restore Points

Hi all,
I posted this earlier in the week.
Now I see that I am not the only one SP1 did this to.
Also, I did load SP1 @ WU.

No problem just do a system restore, ah the SP1 had wiped out all but 2 of my restore points.
Last night (Sat.), my weekly clean/tune, I shut everything out.
I created a Restore Point then opened AusLogics Registry Defrag.
(run as Admin in Admin acct.) Reg. Defrag did its thing as always,
created its own Restore Point, Restart then I closed it. I then
went to Create a Restore Point "after" as I always do. You guessed it! The only Restore Point I had was SP1 !!! Any ideas ???

I got the idea from this thread...
I haven't done it yet.

Make vista sp1 permanent and save disk space

Do any of you have any ideas ???

Thank you all for any and all help !!!
