Trying to work out why Vista SP1 will not install on my machine with error code 80073712, I thought i would look in the system config section and in the 'services' tab I found that Windows Installer is stopped though there is a tick in the box. Might this be a reason why it does not install or is it something deeper than that. I have not stopped it on purpose as there is no date in the date diabled column. I have done all other checks for why it is not installing and i get it through WU.
