| Windows Vista Ultimate x64 | Where are the hotfix backup installed ? Hello, I'm looking to remove manually the latest hotfix installed, but I cannot find where they actually are installed ![]() My problem is the following : I did reboot my system to install latest updates but since, my Aero interface is locked and the Control Panel is not reachable (it opens and close suddenly). I can reach the control panel elements by the file explorer, using the left side shortcuts. But in the add/remove panel, I cannot see the hotfixes, clicking on the link to display them doesn't work. I really think this problem comes from the hotfixes i've installed, so now I have to use the command line to delete them. sorry for my bad english. |

| Windows Vista™ Ultimate | Re: Where are the hotfix backup installed ? Hi FCTurtle, The only way to remove updates is using the "Programs and Features" control panel, Once the updates are installed they are directly integrated into the system making them un-removable without killing Vista. Open "Programs and Features" from the Control Panel and click "View Installed Updates" on the top left to remove them. Steven |
