SP1 will not install, either with the automatic download or the stand alone package I downloaded. Get error message 0x800F0900. Using Compaq Resario F700 laptop. All drivers are reported current based on HP scan. All other Vista updates have been successful. At the suggestion of MS, I turned off virus scanning, and even tried to install in SAFE mode. Same result.
MS and HP have tried to help but no success. The only suggest they have now is to reinstall the OS.
