| Vista 32bit SP1 | Updates not working I have an updates issue. I just downloaded & installed SP1 on the system. And after that everytime I start the system I get a small popup which states as windows update is not enabled. I have tried every thing possible. But cannot do that. When I checked services.msc. It showed automatic updates as disabled, whenever I try to set it manual. It say service cannot be started & is gets disabled again. I have run scans but got nothing. |

| Vista 32bit SP1 | Re: Updates not working I have uninstalled Nero 8, daemon tools, Norton 360, & reset the updates. It worked fine for sometime but after a couple of restarts. The issue was there again. I created a new user profile the issue was not there but after I was finished transferring the data, the issue came up again. I would wait for a couple of days & do some more research. And if nothing works then re-install the service pack. And one more thing that IE would not open the web page for windows update. |

| Win XP Pro / Win Vista Ultimate | Re: Updates not working check your date settings. if it's set to a previous date for example 2006, it would give you errors. you can also try running startup repair. |
