| Ultimate x64 SP2 | Remove Optional Updates? Is there anyway for me to remove the all the optional updates I don't want? I hate seeing the huge list of 39 language packs every time I look at the updates! ![]() Thanks. |

| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: Remove Optional Updates? Hi microdude431, To do this, you need to hide the unwanted updates. Open 'Windows Updates' and select 'View available updates'. The following screen appears. ![]() Right click the unwanted update and select 'Hide update'. You will need to provide administrative credentials to continue. Repeat for each update that you do not wish to see. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to do this other than individually selecting each update in turn. |
