Windows could not search for updates (error code 80070081)

    Windows could not search for updates (error code 80070081)

    Hello-
    Has anyone seen this error code before?
    I can't seem to find any information on it.
    I dont have the following key which I have seen mentioned in some of the forums:



    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU

    I'm running Vista Premium x64
    Can anyone help?

    I have looked for information but have found nothing usable,
    You may want to try a system restore to see if that sorts out the problem;
