| 32 bit | Can't d/l SP1 I have been trying all day to install Service Pack 1 and I keep getting this error when it installs: 0x80070490 Microsoft Office SharePoint Server I called HP.... no help GeekSquad.... no help Can you help? I'm running Vista Home Premium 32 bit |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Can't d/l SP1 enable your administrator account and give it a password. Reboot to it. Try the Windows Updates. I usually download the network version of service packs and install from it. You still need the administrator level account without UAC to install it. |

| 32 bit | Re: Can't d/l SP1 I disabled my antivirus and got further along with the download than before... and got a different message. This one said the d/l was not completed but gave me a better link. The link led me to live Microsoft support and they worked with me for about 5 hours until we finally got it to work. There was something wrong in my registry and they cleaned that and actually took control of my computer... it was so neat. I am very satisfied with the results. Thank you for your input. This is a nice place to come when frustrated with Vista. |
