Vista - After SP 1 - can't play some of my games

I can't play Word Riot or Upwords. I could before SP 1. What could be the problem? These Service packs are more trouble than they are helpful.

Have you tried right-clicking the icon and running as administrator?

Yes... I've already fixed the administrator issues. I redownloaded Macromedia and now the Upwords works but the interactive game, Word Riot from Pogo where you connect with other players does nothing when I click PLAY. No message or anything.
What else could be wrong?

Check the game maker's website. It may be that you need to install a patch to ensure SP1 compatibility.

OK... this is the type of help I got from Oberon. They asked questions and the answers were right there in my first post! Before you write to them there is a form where you put in all your computer data... and they ask it again!!! I also sent them a copy of my dxdiag.

Let's try uninstalling the game:

Start Menu --> Program Files --> Oberon Media --> The name of the game --> Uninstall

Then go back to the website were you purchased your game, then re-download the game, re-install the game, and reenter the registration key for your game.

Look for the start/home page for your game website and then look for your game.

If the problem persists, in order to assist you please let us know the following:

1. What exactly happens and when? Does the computer display any messages? If
so, what exactly are they. (Please quote)

2. How much free space do you have on your hard drive? How much memory does your
computer have? (RAM)

3. Do any of our other games work on your computer? Had this game worked before?

4. What is your computer operating system? (Windows 98/2000/XP/Other)
