| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Bad sectors in file system after Security Update I have installed the security patch for IE and I did a disc check afterwards when I noticed , on completion that Windows had made alterations to the file system and that there was 8KB of bad sectors but the disc was clean ! Is this something that I should be worried about ? Thanks in advance for your advice. |

Did you run checkdisk right before the update? If not, it might not have been the update that caused the bad sectors. Try running system file checker but I wouldn't be too concerned about it if it says the disk is ok. You could generate a system health report also. |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Bad sectors in file system after Security Update Yeah, just try to make sure your drivers are up to date and run system file checker and run a system health report to see what it says. I don't know why you would keep getting bad sectors over and over but maybe someone else here will know. System Health Report System Files - SFC Command |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Bad sectors in file system after Security Update I've just done a system report and it says that my Logitech wireless keyboard is missing a plug in and not working to full capacity (Logitech says all drivers and software is up to date..) but I've had no problems with it . It also says it can find no Anti virus program but I am running McAfee Total security, Windows dDfender and Super antispyware. Thank you for all your help! Where do I find the scales ? http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/su...oads/&cl=us,en |
