Vista home premium restore

A year ago i purchased a toshiba laptop that already had vista home premium on it. Yesterday i found an upgrade disk for the home premium in the box and used it thinking it would make my general vista experience better. I didn't know it was installing a whole new system that apparently deleted all that i was accustomed to using; such as the windvd player and my anti virus. I'd love to restore my system to the point befored i ever installed these updates, but the farthest back i can go is last night at the initial point i installed it. Even 1 minute before that point would be ideal. Bless anyone that can help me. Paul

By the sound of things sorry but you're out of luck, I think by using that disc you've put the machine back to the way it was when first purchased so anything you installed since then will have to be done again.
I expect the disc you found in the box was the recovery disc supplied by Toshiba to do what you have now done, put the machine back to factory settings.
