| Vista Home Basic | Error 80080005 Whenever I try to update my computer, I either get error code 80080005, or it simply goes back to the check for updates screen. I haven't been able to update my computer since April 15th 2008, so it would be VERY helpful if someone could help me with this problem. |

System Files - SFC Command type cmd in the start menu search bar and right click on it and click Run as Administrator to open up an elevated command prompt. Type NET STOP WUASERV then enter REGSVR32 %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\WUPS2.DLL then enter NET START WUASERV then enter Reboot |
