Vista - Microsoft .Net framework 3.5 Service Pack 1

Hello,
This appeared in my Windows Update list yesterday
Microsoft .Net framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .Net framework 3.5 Family update (KB951847)x86
total download 19.7-58.1MB.

Anybody have any experience with this update?
Just checking before I take the plunge..

Whoa.. I just went over to the website of a guy who wrote the Windows Vista for Dummies website, www.askwoody.com and I found something about this download on the home page!.. Please have a read and let me know what you think?

I allowed the automatic update to install the above on the 29th Jan 2008. I do not find any issues afterwards. I am not sure if it'd made any improved in performance.

Hello Peppurr, I just let it upgrade & install as it said it was important. I haven't noticed any difference to the performance of my laptop, but it is probably wise to update it anyway. I am not enough of a computer geek

to really appreciate how it has changed anything.

dont worry guys, its not a hacker attack, its a program that is needed by other applications to operate, without getting into much detail, its a runtime application like java, you need java for other programs to work, its a working platform.
