Can't Install SP2 RC1

Hi,

I am trying to install it but first it gave me error that there are some languages components missing (or something like that).

So I went to cpanel, tried to uninstall some language packs expect english but it failed.

Then I tried registry hack (remove lang codes from mui registry folders) and setup started. However, once I accept with terms, it says:

some components missing which are required to isntall sp2...

Any ideas?

I've removed all but 2 languages via vLite before and those who were still installed caused me that problem.

I think you might be out of luck. If I recall correctly, a install from a disk modified by V-Lite will not be able to complete the installation of a service pack due to missing files. From what I can tell the only work-around might be to reinstall Vista, but I would not jump the gun on that before someone else confirms it. Furthermore, perhaps you should also give V-Lite's forums a try too?

Thanks! I guess the best way now would be to wait for Windows 7 and I'll probably get it for free anyway, because I got new laptop license this year.
