live safety scan registry cleaner 13237 errors

So I did a live safety scan of registry and it said 13237 registry items , 449 cleaned 12788 errors. This is a beta scanner. Any opinions on this, not sure what to think.

G'Day vista64ult.

First of all, welcome to the Vista Forums, the only dedicated group of Folks ready to help, 24 hours a day. Personally, I'm not too technically clued-up, however there are many others here who are very well qualified, and who will readily jump in to offer help and advice with any problem or subject you post.

Secondly,
before I reply to your question, congratulations on preparing a full and detailed 'My System Specs'.......very few first time 'posters' do this simple but very important step which ultimately is to the poster's benefit, as it often assists the 'helpers' in determining the direction of their advice. Well done.

OK. Your query.......beta Version for Vista, right? The Registry Scan is part of the Windows Live Safety Scanner schedule, and in all parts of the Results, all you need to do is follow the the logical steps presented. Click on each ' V ' to open up the section highlighted, and read every 'learn more' prompt.

Each step will contain advice on how to complete the necessary 'fixes' for that particular highlighted step. It is a relatively simple process to follow, and even I, with very little experience am able to follow it.

My main advice is that you create a customized new restore point BEFORE you run the Safety Scanner. I also do screen snips of each section, also before doing any 'fixing' on it. I save these to a new folder in documents. That way, if anything does go wrong, you at least have a restore point to go back to, and a good record to refer to, in case you do need to raise a post in Vista Forums.

Screen snips can save hundreds of words, and helpers easily see where any problems may be........and this includes details of any spyware or malware.

I hope that this helps you in finishing the Safety Scan, and that your system is the better for it.

Finally, spend a couple of minutes and check out the details in the link at the bottom of my page......just in case you haven't done so already.

Enjoy your time with Vista Forums, I'm sure you will.
