| Vista Home Premium 64 | Which update is to blame? I am interested to know if anyone else has experienced greatly reduced performance since an update in the last three days Friday 13th Feb(!) to Sunday 15thFeb. My 64 bit machine has almost stopped working. I am aware of two updates that have occured during this time.. Logitech Webcam and Vista itself, and as I have had experience of Logitech drivers causing a 32 bit Vista PC to blue screen in the past, am wondering if they are at it again. I propose to uninstall the Logitech drivers tonight. The performance monitor /event viewer shows errors and warnings that the system has no resources with the CPU is working flat out. I might pass on another bit of experience about the seemingly notorious Kodak Easyshare software. It really cannot cope with having large volumes of pictures in one place. I tried running a drive purely for photos, put a large number of my images there, and Easyshare caused the 64 bit machine to crawl almost to a halt. |

| Vista 32 Business | Re: Which update is to blame? I have seen great instability problems on Windows Business 32bits machines. I am managing my company PC parc and since last wednesday (latest MS update release) almost all vista based computers are facing problems - computers won't shut down (the computer start shut down procedure and stays on the "shuting down" message) - computers freeze randomly when you want to create a new folder (eighter locally on the HDD or on a remote server) Any idea ? |
