| Vista Ultimate x64 | Change default location of update downloads? Hi -- thanks for taking the time to read this. On my laptop, I am dealing with a very small primary boot partition of 17GB. This was my own fault for not realizing how much larger Vista was than XP. I have tried to extend the partition to no avail (even using mspart from the command prompt). Basically it is not a problem except MS wants to download 5GB of updates. I don't have that much room on the partitiion. Is there any way I can change the default location of where MS downloads and installs (sources) its update files? With about 2GB free and NOTHING on that partition except the OS, I can hold out for a while before I have to do the cursed reinstall if I can figure this one out. Thanks!! |
