| Vista Home Premium 64 Bit | Updates. 1 to 3 Problem. Driving me crazy. Please, help. Hello, I have Windows Home Premium 64 Bit and every time I restart I get a message saying 1 to 3 updates ... I then see this message again on startup. I feel like something is wrong with the update system. I reinstalled Vista and disabled automatic updates. However, after a while I started to get the same problem. I have Office, Visual Studio, Messenger and a few Adobe products installed. I tried everything I could think of to find the problem but no luck. Does anyone has any idea why do I get this problem? Thanks, Miguel |

| Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows 7 Ultimate (all x64) | Re: Updates. 1 to 3 Problem. Driving me crazy. Please, help. If it is looping while configuring updates, it is best to do a microsoft system restore then disable automatic updates. The only way I know how to access system restore when the computer is looping is to use a Vista install disc, not a manuf. recovery disc, select repair my computer then click on system restore. If you don't have one, ask someone you know or have someone make you a Vista Recovery Disc which you can find on the internet |

| Vista Home Premium 64 Bit | Re: Updates. 1 to 3 Problem. Driving me crazy. Please, help. I followed the steps and it solved it. But does it means I can't use updates? Should I rename the folder back to its original name? What else should I do? Thank You, Miguel |

| Windows 7 | Re: Updates. 1 to 3 Problem. Driving me crazy. Please, help. ![]() The answer for ur question, No u can use the updates. But the current update list & and the downloaded updates will be hidden from visat's view. So vista will create another folder with the same name and will use that folder for updates. No need to worry. (If u think i helped u, gimme reputation points by clicking my scales ) |

| Vista Home Premium 64 Bit | Re: Updates. 1 to 3 Problem. Driving me crazy. Please, help. And should I delete the old one? The one I recreated? Or copy its contents for the new one? (I think this will create the problem again or not)? Thanks, Miguel |
