Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 80070643
I keep getting this message when I update windows, I’ve been trying for like a month now and still a no go. I troubled shoot and follow the instructions, still not working . anybody got help?

Update type: Important
1. Click to open Administrative Tools.
2. Double-click Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. If the Office Source Engine service is disabled, double-click it to open the service properties.
4. Click the Startup type list, click Automatic (Delayed Start), and then click Apply.
5. Under Service status, click Start.

Hi,

U can hide the update by this,

Control Panel > Windows Update.

If you view the updates available, you should be able to hide it.

Then go to this address and download the update manually. KB958687) is a day light saving update.

The ur ose.exe is probably got corrupted.

Try this,

  1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
  2. In the list of services, double-click Office Source Engine.
  3. View the Startup type list.
  4. If the startup type is set to Disabled, change the startup type to Manual. To do this, click Manual in the Startup type list, and then click OK.
  5. Try to install the Office update again.
If it is not helped u reinstall ur office and try...
