I don't want to reinstall the whole OS and all programs and tweaks so I have to live with this

Hi,

You could see if the free Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs, Solve uninstall problems will uninstall them.

Works superbly for me on x64 ( it only recognizes and uninstalls 32 bit apps. - but that is pretty much everything).

Hope it helps

Yep , My uninstaller is a good app. , but it only runs the programs own built in uninstall. Revo searches the registry and hd for related entries and can be used even when the programs own uninstaller is missing/corrupt.

I hae the same problem with framework SP1, after going through the recommended motions twice, I also have hidden that update and will just forget about it. Until perhaps a better upgrade comes along.

It seems lots of people have problems installing that SP1 package...
