Vista - Windows update KB905866 causing browser issues

Hi,

Windows Update KB905866 recently installed on my PC and I've had browser problems ever since (very slow performance).

Having read a number of threads, I located and uninstalled the update (via Control Panel), but still performance has not returned to normal. I've even tried to delete some of the Windows Mail files, but am unable to do so due to permissions.

I welcome any suggestions!

I have this browser/bandwidth problem. Uninstalled KB905866 update (also tried system restore) and Norton (trial bundled with OS -then had to use norton removal tool to get rid of it properly). Bandwidth was still varying between half speed and next to nothing on speedtest.net.

I have changed my gig ethernet down to 10/100 ethernet i.e

rt click my computer, manager, network adapter, properties, advanced, speed duplex settings, then change from auto negotiation (1 gig) to 100 meg half duplex (10/100).

Don't know if this is your problem but a work around for now for me (back to 20ish mbs).
If someone has a fix for me so I can use my gig ethernet - pls let me know.
