start up problems after installing vista sp2

I installed vista sp2 on 29/5 and have had trouble when starting up computer. Doesn't happen every time. It's vista 32bit. 'Startup repair' had to be performed today.

Is this a known problem with this service pack? Should I uninstall it?

Am also still having trouble when backing up. 0x8007045D. Not keen to clear restore points every time I back up! Hasn't MS worked out a solution for this yet?

Hi. Thanks for your advice. I have had a look at this page, but I don't think it is the same problem.

I do not get any error messages. However, since installing the most recent service pack, my computer is sluggish and having trouble starting up.

Also still can't get back ups to work 0x8007045D.

Thanks
