| Newbie | Re: Windows Update Won't Load--gets error-"This page failed to load" I did the first 7 steps but then, no matter how I typed in the command at the run line, the computer did not take it. Steve. |

| Newbie | Re: Windows Update Won't Load--gets error-"This page failed to load" One more thing: whenever I go to start, control panel, system (or system and maintainence) then click on it....it says "the page failed to load". Same result whenever I click on "Windows update" or start/control panel/windows update.....it reads, 'the page failed to load' |

| Older But No Wiser | Re: Windows Update Won't Load--gets error-"This page failed to load" I think you need to do that in an elevated Command Prompt. Go to Start/All programs/Accessories and right-click Command Prompt > Run as Administrator. Then do what it says... 08. type regsvr32 /u c:\winnt\system32\wuv3is.dll. Press OK. |

| Newbie | Re: Windows Update Won't Load--gets error-"This page failed to load" I did do the elevated command prompt (typing: regsvr32 /u c:\winnt\system32\wuv3is.dll. ) and got a pop up error that said “the module “c:\winnt\system32\wuv3is.dll.” failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .dll files. The specified module could not be found”------May I assume that after the first 32 there is a space and after the first u there is a space? If so, that IS what I typed and got. |

| Older But No Wiser | Re: Windows Update Won't Load--gets error-"This page failed to load" Try copy and paste, sometimes works better, but make sure you don't add a space at the beginning or end. Beyond that I haven't a clue regarding your original problem, maybe the original answerer does? |
