Post-Update problem

Ok. Yesterday at 1am my computer had downloaded a update for itself. and when I turned it on it installed it.

But what came after is terribly annoying. It had put all my pre-update stuff into a folder called Windows.old. I can't open a single program from there. With games I try to open from there it says that they need a file. when I copy that file into the game's folder it just says re-install your game. But that's not the worst part. The memory had jumped from 110 GB to 80GB. I can't seem to understand where those GB went when the update didn't add anything useful, just put my old Program Files and stuff into a seprate folder and made thing unusable.

ps. I just tried re-installing a game and it didn't work. nothing comes up, yet on the pre-update Vista it was running smoothly.

Is there a way I can undo the update or atleast get my pre-udpate programs and games to work? Please help me, thank you
