| Vista Home x64 | After update many problems I updated using Windows Update last week. I run Vista Home x64 everything worked fine for a little while then I noticed my Vista Widget sidebar had a black background. Next I was unable to click on different windows. The only way I could call my desktop back was to Alt Tab I tried restarting and I had a black desktop I unplugged and restarted and it was fine. I then uninstalled all the updates. It seemed to work fine for a bit then all the things about started happening. I then recovered my computer back to 2 days before the updates. Worked fine , then guess what same stuff. I am sure it was the update. However, Best Buy and Dell did not provide me with the Vista disk so I cannot fully recover or reformat. I am looking forward to a big argument with Best Buy management tomorrow as I explain to them I would not need to pay the $50 if they would have given me the software (that I purchased but have no access to) the first time. Can someone help me troubleshoot this? |
