I was having issues before with installing updates. I tried the rename "SoftwareDistribution" trick and it worked briefly. Then I started having major issues that I traced backed to some rogue software (Rollback Rx Pro - AVOID!!). After uninstalling this, I tried to access updates. Still no dice. After I click on the Update link it just stalls. Ten minutes later - still no action.

I tried the Vista Startup Repair. It said there were no issues. Plz help.
