| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Error code 80072f8f Have Vista 32 Home Premium. When I check for updates I'm given the error code 80072f8f. Checked with Microsoft help and it was suggested to check time and date to verify that my computer had the correct time and date. It does. Would welcome any suggestions on how to further troubleshoot this problem. |

| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: Error code 80072f8f I have Nod 32 anti-virus program. Under their setup tree, I changed SSL Protocol Checking to the default which is "Do Not Scan SSL Protocol". I previously had checked "Always Scan Protocol. After this change, I tried Windows Update and it worked. I had seen a reference to SSL in a Microsoft help page so I decided to check Nod 32 SSL settings. I am a "senior citizen" and not up to snuff on computer workings. I try to figure out problems the best I can without getting in too deep that I can"t recover. My concern now is that my anti-virus program is set to not scan SSL Protocol and I am wondering if that is OK. Have I left myself open for problems? |
